No One Lives Forever Resurfaces Through Trademark Filings

Over a decade after No One Lives Forever first infiltrated the PC, the spy-spoof first-person shooter has resurfaced through a series of trademark filings.


As Siliconera reports, trademarks for No One Lives Forever, A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way, The Operative, and Contract J.A.C.K. have all been filed by Night Dive Studios, potentially indicating a re-release or reissuing. Night Dive Studios specializes in the optimization and digital distribution of older licenses, most recently System Shock 2, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, and the Wizardry series.


The whereabouts of the rights to No One Lives Forever were something of a mystery for a time. Originally published by Fox Interactive, which was purchased by Vivendi, which then merged with Activision, the series went quiet for a long time, until last week.
