CBS are very good at what they do. And what they do is offer shows that typically bring in millions of viewers every week.
Today, the network unveiled trailers for much of their new 2014-2015 line-up at their Upfront presentation - with a couple of exceptions, such as The Odd Couple and CSI: Cyber (though that footage was already seen on the CSI episode that set up the series) not showing off any footage.
Below are the trailers in question (with one frustrating exception) and my quick reaction.
Keep in mind that, per usual for Upfront trailers, these tend to pretty much give you an overview of the entire pilot episode of each series.
CBS snuck in a trailer for a show debuting much sooner than the rest with this new promo for Extant. After the success of Under the Dome, the network is once more going with a shorter-run, serialized genre series for summer, with some big names involved. Halle Berry starts in her first TV series in ages (Since the Who's the Boss spinoff Living Dolls?!), for producer Steven Spielberg. There seems to be two very different plotlines going on - the outer space/mystery pregnancy thing could be one show and the creepy robot boy could be another. I'm not sure how it all works together, but I am curious...
