Justice League of America #14 serves as a Forever Evil epilogue, a series finale, and a lead-in to Justice League United all at once. It's the middle function that proves the most satisfying. JLA was never as relevant to Forever Evil as some of DC's other tie-in series, especially once it was revealed that Stargirl and Martian Manhunter never actually escaped the Crime Syndicate's prison. And with Justice League United now two issues in, a prelude seems a bit pointless now. But what writer Matt Kindt manages in this final issue is to deliver an emotional farewell to the various team members.
