Thanks to an incredible amount of fan donations and support stemming from the release of The Compendium, the prize pool for The International 2014, the largest Dota 2 tournament of the year, has reached over $5 million.
The prize pool is the largest in the history of eSports.
The Compendium, which has only been out for a week, is an interactive program for The International. It costs $10 and for each one purchased, $2.50 goes straight to the prize pool. This year, Dota 2 fans can level up their Compendium to earn special rewards.
