Note: Full spoilers ahead!
Dewey's story finally came alive in "Weight" after waiting and waiting for something to happen. For all the times he was pushed around, he finally pushed back. It just so happened to be at the worst possible time, when Boyd was in dire straits and Daryl was under the threat of Boyd.
It was worthwhile, to say the least. More worthwhile than almost all of the other episodes this season.
For all of the building this season took to get to this point, the punches weren't quite so punchy; the southern storytelling wasn't quite so charming. It feels like a lot of the air is out of the show.
"Weight" maintained some of the series' charm, though.
