Supernatural: "Blade Runners" Review

Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.


Mark Sheppard wins this round. He's a powerhouse and went from drunk and weeping to the King of Hell we all know and love over the course of the episode. Sheppard manages to make Crowley look like a badass even in his weak moments and makes the character insanely likable. Crowley's developed along a surprising path over the last season, and the changes are engaging enough to make you forget you shouldn't be rooting for or trusting such a bad guy.


It's funny that we've come to a place where Sam and Dean want Crowley to be more of a tool. But, if they're going to keep having a relationship with a character who they should have killed or exorcised years ago just on principle, at least it's still believable. The writers keep coming up with reasons to put the Winchesters and Crowley on the same side, and while their interactions together are priceless, the buddy act should have an end point. Sam's clearly already feeling that way.
