Independent developer Trendy Entertainment, known best for its action-RPG tower defence hybrid Dungeon Defenders, has hired former LucasArts president Darrell Rodriguez as its new CEO.
Rodriguez will be helping to expand Trendy's games portfolio, while also growing its cross-platform backend technology Playverse in the hopes that other developers will utilise the technology in their own games.
"When I first visited here I saw tremendous potential--both in Dungeon Defenders II and their cross platform backend and technology, Playverse, and needed to be a part of it," says Rodriguez, speaking to GamesIndustry.biz.
