Between Marvel's Avengers cartoons and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie, pretty soon everyone will know the name Peter Quill. And for this troubled, space-faring hero, that's just the way he likes it. Marvel is continuing to place an increased emphasis on its cosmic characters and properties as the movies venture farther away from Earth. And as was announced at C2E2 this past weekend, that includes giving Star-Lord his own ongoing solo series, courtesy of writer Sam Humphries (Avengers A.I., Uncanny X-Force) and artist Paco Medina (Deadpool, Nova).
Marvel held one of their "Next Big Thing" press calls today to shed more light on the new series. Humphries, editor Mike Marts, and Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso were in attendance to discuss all things Star-Lord.
