Yes, everyone is expecting a smartwatch from Apple this year. The seemingly tepid outing from Samsung's Galaxy Gear leaves a lot to be desired, and at this point, if Cupertino doesn't release an iOS wristwatch we're all going to have a fit. But according to China Times, your wait is almost over.
Reportedly, the Apple watch will sidestep its competitors and take on a decidedly slim form factor. According to sources, the iWatch--or whatever it's called--will use a system-in-package (SiP) design to keep things extra slim. Essentially, Apple's smartwatch could look a lot like a Nike Fuel Band, with all its components existing under a simple armband. But those developments do lend credence to reports of a fitness-based band from Apple.
