Yes, we're doing a Following season finale review! Unfortunately, interest waned to the point that we stopped doing weekly rundowns, but the plan was to always check back in come the season ender. And here we are with "Forgive" - a finale featuring a showdown between Ryan and Joe and the twins, Mark and Luke. AKA "Bangs" and "Slick."
I was happy to see the the episode left Joe alive and didn't go for another fake-out death (the church wired with explosives had me worried for a second), but then it tried to sell us on a Ryan/Joe team-up, literally just moments after Joe caused a preacher to slit his own throat and then shot the man's son in the head. Granted, the banter between Ryan and Joe can be fun and when the two of them are on screen together, as rare as that is, there's a definite chemistry. But not one that would ever make me believe that they'd team up right after two very publicly broadcasted murders.
