A now-deleted tweet from an alleged Ubisoft engineer teased that a new Prince of Persia game is on the horizon.
While the Twitter account of @UbiDrew is now erased, NeoGAF user sjay1994 captured a screen grab of the teasing tweet referencing Prince of Persia. "What next for #PrinceofPersia?" wrote Drew James, accompanied by an image showcasing the various iterations of the Prince.
Notably, the tweet references Ubisoft Reflections, which is co-developing The Division with Ubisoft Massive. Ubisoft Montreal has historically worked on the Prince of Persia titles, but the deleted tweet fails to mention the studio, possibly meaning that Ubisoft is rebooting the character and series with a new development team.
