The Following: "Trust Me" Review

Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow...


The Following upped its game a touch this week with "Trust Me," revealing not only a new cult member, but a new arch enemy. Sure, I was able to predict that Lily was a creeping cult member in my last review, but I think we're all astute enough to pick up on these types of things by now. Plus, everyone's a suspect, right? But the surprise didn't just end with Lily getting outed as a maniac, we also found out her connection to the subway cultists - as she's actually Luke and Mark's mother.


All with clean backgrounds too. Because not only could the FBI not spot Lily, Mark flat out said that no one would ever identify him or Luke - even with their faces were plastered all over the news. So there's a cool mystery there as to how she's been able to hold a stable life and they've been able to remain off the grid. Also, do they have any connection to Joe, or are they just sick fans? Because with Emma meeting Mark and the rest, the overall distinction between last season's Havenport clan and the new subway stabbers become even more defined.
