“So, sometimes I change my name so I'm not recognized as a developer,” Berry, a designer/programmer on Rust, told IGN. “I try and team up with random players and give advice, see the problems they are encountering and whatnot.”
As it goes in Rust, this doesn’t always end happily. The player base in Rust can be ruthless.
“Me and another guy were helping this guy build a base, and
going out and getting some resources so he would be safe for the night,” Berry said. This particular miscreant had a secret squad “of about six people with him.” The group’s apparent leader had practically enslaved the man who made everything around them, then misled and murdered him.
