Geoff Johns is a touch act to follow, and it seems like the Green Lantern writers have devoted the months since his departure trying their darndest to make sure the new status quo stands apart from the old. The Relic crossover was a big step in that direction, but it also read like more a means to an end than a great story. The Green Lantern Corps Annual reads like the final step in that long process. The Lanterns are facing a team comprised of some of their worst enemies, and there's a growing sense that anything can happen in the future of the Corps.
