CES is to tech what E3 is to gaming, but there's more overlap than you might think. The annual Consumer Electronics Show is more than just high-tech gadgets and robots dancing to Gangnam Style — though, there's certainly plenty of that — it's actually a launchpad for new gaming hardware, PCs, and the stunning displays and sound systems you play on. This year promises more exciting announcements than ever — here's everything you need to know.
CES takes place every year in Las Vegas and attracts over 150,000 attendees and over 3,200 exhibitors. The show formally kicks off on Tuesday, January 7 and runs until January 10. But while the showfloor won't open until Tuesday, the fun actually starts as soon as Sunday night, when Nvidia hosts its pre-show press conference. Then, on Monday, other major brands will host showcases of their own to reveal their hottest new products, prototypes, and software, including events from Samsung, LG, Asus, AMD, Intel, and more.
