Pay What You Want for Shovel Knight's Amazing Soundtrack

The awesome Shovel Knight soundtrack is now available for a "pay what you want" price.


Video game composer Jake "Virt" Kaufman (Contra 4, Double Dragon Neon) has put the original soundtrack for Shovel Knight up on Bandcamp, where people can name their price for the 48-track album that features over two hours of music. Kaufman utilized free hobbyist tools to create the retro game's music and sound effects, which could actually be played on a NES and/or Famicom system.


In addition, well-known composer Manami Matsumae (Mega Man, Mighty No. 9) joined Kaufman for the Shovel Knight soundtrack. According to Kaufman, she inspired him to start his career in video game music.
