Retaining the 17-year-old Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee’s 2D puzzle-platformer gameplay, HD remake New 'n' Tasty casts players as Abe, a stitch-mouthed factory slave out to save his fellow Mudokon workers from being slaughtered and sold as meat products by their sinister employer. Abe is puny and mostly unarmed, so this means negotiating a whole lot of traps and automated defenses, sneaking past (and, when possible, mentally controlling) gun-toting Slig guards, and shepherding other hapless Mudokons to "bird portals" that can teleport them to safety. (It also means getting splattered into gruesome chunks every few minutes, if you're as bad at timing jumps or explosive off-switch presses as I was.)
