Most players of free-to-play mobile titles quit playing a new game after less than 24 hours, according to a fresh report from mobile analytics firm Swrve via Re /code.
Swrve, which tracked over 10 million new players of over 30 different games across 90 days, found that 19 per cent of them opened the games just once and that 66 per cent of them had stopped playing after 24 hours.
The report also found that only 2.2 per cent of players spent any money at all, and 46 per cent of a game’s total revenue came from the top 10 per cent of that small sliver of spenders. These figures are similar to the report Swrve released in February (which found just 1.5 per cent of players spent cash, and 50 per cent of revenue came from the top 10 per cent of those spenders).
