It was quite the blow to Quentin Tarantino fans when The Hateful Eight's script leaked online, provoking the director to contemplate abandoning the film. Now, however, it seems there may be a chance he has reconsidered that idea.
Tarantino held a live reading of The Hateful Eight's screenplay in front of an enthusiastic audience on Saturday, where he announced that he's working on additional drafts. "I am working right now on a second draft," he told the packed crowd. "This is the first draft.”
Tarantino explained that the audience present at the reading, all of whom had paid $150-$200 per ticket, would be the only ones to witness the fifth chapter -- entitled “Black Night, White Hell” -- in its current form, since it will be either rewritten or removed completely from the story's final draft.
