Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment revealed earlier this week that LEGO: The Hobbit will see a slight delay on Wii U to April 22.
LEGO: The Hobbit is available now for all other announced systems — Nintendo 3DS, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. But the Wii U version of LEGO: The Hobbit is now planned for April 22, according to a Warner Bros. press release touting the game's launch. The publisher gave no explanation for the delay on Nintendo's console.
“The LEGO: The Hobbit videogame gives LEGO and Middle-earth fans of all ages a fun, new way to experience the legendary adventures of Bilbo and company as told in the first two films of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy,” said Tom Stone, managing director of TT Games, in the press release. Warner Bros. says that additional content based on the third film, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, will come at a future date.
