The Australia-based indie developer League of Geeks launched a Kickstarter project today for Armello, a digital card and board game in which players struggle to gain control over a fairy tale animal kingdom.
League of Geeks is asking for $AUD200,000, which will allow the team to work on its debut game full-time. Although Armello was originally announced as an iPad game back in 2012, the development team launched the Kickstarter project to bring the game to PC, Mac and Linux, and to allow more focus on beta-testing before release.
Trent Kusters, League of Geeks co-founder, said the decision to make a digital board and card game was a natrual one, considering the team's preferences and expertise.
