Da Vinci's Demons: "The Ends of the Earth" Review

Da Vinci finds himself in a bit of a sticky situation as the prisoners he helped to free last week turn a little unruly at the thought of falling off the edge of the Earth. Just last week I mentioned my frustration with the formulaic structure of da Vinci’s storylines on a week-to-week basis. Generally, da Vinci is faced with a dilemma and he builds his way out of it. Trying to convince a rebellious group of frustrated ex-prisoners that the world is round proved to be a lot more difficult and not something da Vinci could solve with a spark of genius.


The ways by which da Vinci attempts to explain that the Earth is round are inventive but with the added problem of a language barrier, his work is still cut out for him. It was good to also see da Vinci eventually buckle under the pressure and eventually make a decision that frustrates and angers Zoroaster. Putting the prisoners back in chains didn’t necessarily seem like the wrong choice at first as da Vinci did save their lives by doing so, but it was good to see that Zoroaster was the one who explained to da Vinci that that isn’t the man he is.
