During a recent roundtable Q&A, Gearbox president Randy Pitchford discussed the potential future of downloadable content for 2K Australia’s Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
“We have created an expectation there, haven’t we?” said Pitchford. “There’s been some different conversations about what we should do. Right now all the energy is being focused on the game.”
Pitchford understands why the expectation exists that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel would serve, like Borderlands 2, as an ongoing content platform for future experiences, and he supports it.
“I think that would be awesome,” he continued. “I think there’s a lot of places we could explore. There’s four characters we’re doing. We imagine more than that. It’d be awesome to build more characters too, to build more content. We’ll see. I don’t want to make any promises yet.”
