Raiders Guys Want to Shoot Lost Airplane Scene

Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation is a project that’s close to our hearts here at IGN. The film is a shot-for-shot remake of the original Raiders that three friends spent a great deal of their childhoods trying to make. Years later, their amazing efforts made it into the hands of Steven Spielberg, who told them that it was the greatest piece of flattery that he and George Lucas had ever received.

But the film had never screened in the U.K. And that’s where we came in. In conjunction with the film’s makers Chris Strompolos and Eric Zala, IGN organised a charity premiere in Leicester Square, and even convinced Belloq himself – Paul Freeman – to appear.

The story wasn’t finished there however, as Chris and Eric didn’t quite complete their adaptation, and 25 years on, they want to return to their home town, reunite the Raiders cast, and shoot the one scene missing from their Raiders.
