Like I said about Ultimate Comics Spider-Man last week, I just don’t know how to feel about this “final” issue of Ultimate Comics X-Men because I don’t know what awaits on the other side of Cataclysm. As an end chapter to Brian Wood’s story, it is fitting and satisfying in every way -- except for Jean Grey, but I’ll get to that in a moment. Kitty Pryde’s goal to have a peaceful Utopia was long and painful, and now that all rests on her final battle against Jean. However, the best part of this issue is not the fight, but the retrospective Wood gives on just how far the mutants have come to get where they are today.
