PlayStation 4 will not allow users to use external hard drives, according to a Q&A on the PlayStation Blog. Storage on PS4s will be limited to the next-gen machine's 500GB. Even replacing the internal hard drive limits space -- installing another 9.5mm SATA II HDD is possible, but only so long as its space does not exceed 160GB.
We've contacted Sony about how this will affect the transfer of data between PlayStation 4 systems.
