A select number of schools will soon have their students playing Kerbal Space Program thanks to TeacherGaming, the same company responsible for bringing Minecraft into the classroom.
PCGamesN reports the project was recently unveiled as KerbalEdu, a tentative name that matches the one used for Minecraft's educational version, MinecraftEdu. That game is offered to schools at a discounted rate (up to 50% off) and is lightly modified to make it more useful in a school setting. Similar work will be done to make Kerbal Space Program a better fit for schools, but when KerbalEdu first launches in about 50 schools in mid-November, it will essentially be the same exact game that's currently available.
