File this under "duh," but Evil Dead remake director Fede Alvarez has confirmed via Twitter that Sam Raimi will direct the sequel to his own 1992 horror comedy.

The confirmation comes hot off the heels of Army of Darkness star Bruce Campbell claiming he is involved in the production, solidifying the rumors that have been swirling round all year: a Raimi/Campbell Army of Darkness 2 is absolutely going ahead.
