Armored Core: Verdict Day is not for the faint of heart. Like From Software’s other major franchise, Demon/Dark Souls, the Armored Core games are decidedly “hardcore,” though not necessarily because of their difficulty level. The developers could have settled for mindless mech-on-mech combat, but instead, the process of constructing your own personal power suit proves just as essential to the overall experience. As a result, you only get out what you’re willing to put in. It takes work.
