Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
“Till Death Do Us Part” picks up with the moon storyline in full swing as we learn that the mysterious glowing object is what the Espheni have been using to power everything they have. It sort of makes sense since humanity currently doesn’t have the ability to attack the moon but at the same idea it seems like a really stupid idea to put the power source for your entire invasion force and prison system in one place. Even if that place is in orbit. That’s a really bad idea. Also, even though the humans don’t have the resources to currently get to the moon, the Volm could come back on masse and blow your power source out. Then there’s powering stuff on the other side of the planet when it’s not directly facing the moon. Ok, maybe I’m overthinking this but it kind of feels like this idea was thrown together as an excuse to go to the moon. I’m sort of for the idea of taking these characters and putting them in a ridiculous situation like that but I have to point out the leaps in logic to get there.
