One of the things that can be difficult about getting hooked into a new series can be something as simple as getting to know the names of the main characters. It may be a simple thing, but it’s also incredibly important to getting invested in the story. After all, how much can you really care about a character if you aren’t even bothered to know their name? Steve Orlando and Artyom Trakhanov seem to be very aware of this fact, but they don’t force anyone’s name and instead introduce these characters in very practical ways. This is analogous to the way that all of the elements of this underwater world are being introduced in Undertow #2.
