You could argue that no great Iron Man run is complete without a Mandarin story. Whether or not that's actually true, Kieron Gillen has been hard at work crafting his own take on the Mandarin over the past few months. That story enters its next major phase with Iron Man #23.NOW. Having explored the concept of the ten rings forming their own miniature Lantern Corps as they seek out like-minded haters of Tony Stark, now the rings are being forcibly claimed by a new wielder - none other than Malekith the Accursed of Svartalfheim. That unusual choice of villain alone makes this arc one of the most intriguing Gillen has tackled so far.
