Battle of the Atom set the tone for Uncanny X-Men going into 2014, but a steady stream of standalone, character-focused issues has kept the book from really following through on that direction. This All-New Marvel NOW jumping-on point finally kicks the series into gear as far as exploring the brewing war between Cyclops' X-Men and S.H.I.E.L.D. A boosted sense of momentum is rarely a bad thing in any book, and Uncanny definitely seems to benefit from the start of this new storyline.
