I don't know much about The Witcher other than that everyone complains about the steep learning curve and that the game has a fair amount of boobs. But I still have yet to play The Last of Us, and I enjoyed Dark Horse's prequel comic to that game very much. So I was hoping they could recreate the magic with this tie-in to the Witcher action/RPG games. And while The Witcher #1 doesn't stand out as being remarkably different from other violent fantasy comics, it's definitely an enjoyable read that requires no familiarity with the source material.
