Batwoman #29 Review

BATWOMAN_29 Another comic book to file under: Don't Let the Cover Fool You. While the issue's official solicit boasts of a clash between Batwoman and Nocturna, the meat of the story revolves around the Wolf Spider, the high-flying, fancy-fighting art thief who has somehow managed to take up space in more issues than the character can truthfully support.


Jeremy Haun and Jason Masters share art duties and they're joined by colorist Guy Major. There's an impressive attention to detail throughout the issue that grounds each scene in its own locale while maintaining a distinctly "Gotham" feel. There's also a particularly nice moment when the pages of falling book are used as panels, and Nocturna's scenes towards the end are pretty well-considered.
