Jeff Lemire has gifted us with another incredible chapter of one of the strangest superheroes in all of comics. Animal Man has been a fan favorite character since the 1980s, but it’s taken decades for him to receive a story as poignant as the one written by Lemire. Since the debut of this series we’ve seen Buddy Baker experience exhilarating highs and excruciating lows, but we’ve been there for him every step of the way. With his last issue, Lemire produces a meaningful conclusion while slyly reassuring fans that the story isn’t over yet.
