Swamp Thing #26 Review

SWAMP_THING_Cv26_3t2cqy0fqd_ Writer Charles Soule is on fire, and with the mesmerizingly beautiful art of Jesus Saiz telling his story, things are only getting hotter. Soule tells this issue’s entire story without one actual appearance of his main character. That’s right, Swamp Thing is stuck on narration duty now that he’s lost his title as Avatar of the Green to Seeder. Soule uses this as an opportunity to flesh out even more of the Green while also giving us deep insight into Seeder’s motivations to be the usurper he has become. It all makes for yet another amazing chapter in the Swamp Thing saga that Soule has been crafting, and the best part is that he’s so good at seamlessly filling you in on what happened before that this could be your first Swamp Thing issue and you wouldn’t be lost for a second.
