The Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter app services, which were supposed to be released today, Dec. 27, have been delayed due to the problems that Nintendo's online network services and eShop had over the Christmas holidays. The problem was caused when more gamers than Nintendo anticipated tried to use their online services to link their Nintendo Network ID with a Nintendo 3DS/2DS.
Unfortunately, during the outage folks had trouble acessing the eShop for Wii U and 3DS, purchasing and downloading content, and creating or editing a Nintendo Network ID. The service has since been restored for many gamers around the world, but regarding the Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter, Nintendo only said that it's not coming today and that they, "Apologize for the delay and thank you for your continued patience."
