Low Winter Sun returns to the quality of “Catacombs” a few episodes back, despite it sinking into so territory that I hoped it wouldn’t go. Namely, Agnew and Khalil seal the deal, so to speak, and the results are predictable. However, the fallout and implications of their hook-up are pretty interesting, considering where this episode leaves things – with Khalil apparently on the path to figuring out how Agnew and Geddes led their witness all those episodes back. The ending of this episode is bizarre in how it opts to recap the series so far, but combined with the hook-up and its fallout, it winds up being greater than the sum of its parts.
