The abrupt departure of Matt Fraction has hit Fantastic Four pretty hard, and it remains to be seen how well the series will recover once Karl Kesel steps on board as the new co-writer. But the good news is that FF seems almost wholly unaffected by the addition of co-writer Lee Allred. Perhaps this is a testament to how much artist Mike Allred was steering the direction of the series already, or merely that his storytelling sensibilities are so in tune with Fraction's. Regardless, those who weren't aware of the creative team shift before might not realize anything has changed with issue #12.
