Dr. King Schultz could be heading to the jungle with the news that Django Unchained star Christoph Waltz is in talks to join Warner Bros.' Tarzan.
Variety reports that Waltz, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of the bounty hunter/dentist in Django last year, would play a "military figure that crosses paths with the King of the Jungle" (so probably the bad guy, right?). True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard will be the latest in a long line of actors to play Tarzan.
David Yates, who Hogwarts alumni will recall directed the last four Harry Potter films, is helming Tarzan. The film hasn't gotten a full go order yet, however, but Variety says that might happen in November with a summer production start to follow. Yates is also still looking for the actress who would play Jane, with Margot Robbie and Emma Stone under consideration.
