Getting two chapters to the next big X-Men event in one day is an awesome thing, and I definitely recommend reading the first chapter in X-Men: Battle of the Atom #1 before diving into this little slice of heaven. I will admit that it has worn quite thin to hear every character coming up with a new reason to travel in time despite them also acknowledging it as a terrible idea, but it’s easy to forgive when the results are this mind-blowing. By stacking so many unknown variables on top of each other, Brian Michael Bendis is playing the comics equivalent of Jenga -- every turn of the page he tugs out another block, making each passing moment fill up with utter dread that the world of the X-Men will suddenly come crashing down.
