Announced today on Major Nelson's blog, select retailers will begin offering download codes for certain games and add-on content for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Available in the United States and UK, codes are planned to be made available for Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and State of Decay, as well as add-on content for franchises like Forza and Halo. Plans are in place to make more games and countries available in the coming months. These new codes will not replace gift cards, but will be available alongside them at retail.
Earlier this week, we reported that Amazon would also begin selling download codes for several games on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
