Far Cry 4 is shaping up to be an enormous slab of over the top action, with hours of gameplay tucked in and around in its truly majestic Nepalese setting. Back at E3 the game’s demo was focussed on attacking an enemy compound from the air in a gyrocopter and stampeding enemy troops with an elephant, but at Gamescom I got my hands on two wildly contrasting sections from the game: an assault on a heavily fortified enemy base in the high altitudes of the Himalayas, and a more supernatural sojourn into the mythical Shangri-La. Here are five aspects of Far Cry 4’s Gamescom demo that made me want Ubisoft’s open world shooter even more.
