Battlefield 4 Patch Improves Multiplayer Experience

DICE released an update for Battlefield 4 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 that improves server reliability, character performance and matchmaking; the update will release later this week for PS4 and Xbox One, DICE writes on Battle Log.


This marks the first update developed in the Community Test Environment (CTE), in which players test updates and changes before giving DICE feedback based on their experiences. DICE used additional telemetry data gathered in the CTE to influence any further changes released with the update.


DICE also added the "High Frequency Bubble" for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This feature updates the client in the player's immediate vicinity more often, essentially creating a smoother, more "correct" player experience, according to Battle Log. Battlefield 4 was initially plagued with server problems following its release, and DICE has since responded with numerous updates to online problems.
