Aquaman #30 Review

STK635291 Aquaman has entered a phase many New 52 titles seem to go through sooner or later where the floodgates suddenly open in terms of the wider DC Universe. And while more interconnectivity doesn't always equal more better with superhero comics, it certainly isn't hurting Jeff Parker's writing at all. It just makes sense to tie Aquaman and Atlantis more closely with DC's Greek mythology players. Hercules makes for a fine opponent to Arthur in this issue, full of rage and raw power and torment at his centuries of imprisonment and brainwashing. And even ignoring Herc's deeper qualities, he allows Aquaman to flex his muscles and remind readers why this character is so awesome when handled by the proper writer.
