Disney's forthcoming 3D CG-animated movie based on Marvel's Big Hero 6 has gotten an infusion of new blood -- just 10 months before it's slated for release.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Williams (the co-writer and co-director of Bolt) has come aboard as a director on Big Hero 6 alongside the film's existing helmer, animation vet Don Hall. Tangled producer Roy Conli has also joined the movie as a producer.
The protagonist of the film is Hiro Hamada, a teenage robotics prodigy in the high-tech city of San Fransokyo (yes, a mashup of Tokyo and San Francsico). Hiro's best friend is a robot named Baymax, whose look Hall says was inspired by actual inflatable, cuddlier robots that Japanese scientists are developing.
