The Fearless Defenders is not a perfect book. It is flawed, occasionally confused, and consistently inconsistent. It's also the most fun you'll have reading a comic book. Writer Cullen Bunn keeps things fresh with an overabundance of delightful zingers, and so long as he keeps you laughing uproariously, it's easy to forgive the title its sins. When the mighty Hercules intones, "Misandry! Never have the gods blessed us with a more potent aphrodisiac," it's hard to not crack a smile. Go on. Try. You'll fail.
