A couple of days ago, in an unexpected pre-TGS frenzy of announcements, Sony revealed an all-new model of PS Vita. It's lighter and thinner than the current model, with modest built-in memory, an LCD screen replacing the OLED screen, better battery life, and a cheaper cost. It’ll even come out in six colors, and a new, bigger memory card will launch alongside it.
But this new Vita is only confirmed for Japanese release right now; it's set to come out on October 10th. And much like the PS Vita price cut that was only for Japan (and only recently announced for the west), it’s unclear if and when PS Vita’s new model would come out in the west.
