On the eve of Grand Theft Auto V's release, YouTube channel GrittyReboots has released a trailer of sorts for a fictitious movie based on Rockstar's latest well-received open-world game.
The five-minute video plays out less like a trailer and more like a short film starring the protagonists of GTA V. The focus is on Michael, who is dealing with dreams where he relives the sort of illegal activities he used to partake in before trying to turn his life around. There are also some twists along the way that bring Trevor and Franklin into the mix.
Whatever you may think of this approach to a GTA movie, don't count on Rockstar suddenly deciding that Grand Theft Auto needs a film adaptation. Co-founder Dan Houser recently reiterated that the idea has been contemplated a number of times, each time with the same result: Rockstar isn't interested.
